A great conversation requires two people, talking and listening. I think a great photograph requires the same.

My approach to photography is not to tell someone what to do or how to do it. Instead, I work to create environments where people feel like their authentic self and then I make a photograph.

I’m the youngest of eleven Italian kids and I discovered early on that, in addition to learning how to eat quickly, following your heart is the best way to live. When making photographs, I try to do the same: capturing moments that resonate with my heart. Usually, these moments are simple and right in front of me.

I’ve been fortunate to work with many wonderful clients, including Susan G. Komen, Pfizer, Doner Agency, Case Western Reserve University and The New York Times. In addition, my photographs have been featured in magazines, exhibitions around the globe, as well as being included in the permanent collection of The Akron Art Museum.

When I don’t have a camera in my hand, I love hanging with my dog, listening to music, getting lost in a great book or enjoying a minute of silence in a loud world.
